‘Cameo of Looe’ is a beautiful example of the collaboration between the late, great, designer Reg Freeman and renowned boat-builders Curtis & Pape. The last of only 4 yachts built on this hull design, Cameo is the only one with a cutter rig and clipper bow, which gives her a greater spread of sail. Originally commissioned for the training of sailing instructors, she entered the Tall Ships Race in 1976 (Plymouth-NY-Bermuda-Canaries-Plymouth) and later, I'm told, circumnavigated twice.. After returning from the Med in 2013 she underwent a very extensive refit at Tommi Nielsen’s Yard in Gloucester Dock. Cameo is now berthed in Cardiff, Wales, ready for her next adventure. Iroko hull on oak frames. 7'6" headroom galley/chart area. 3 cabins. Tiny tot solid fuel stove in the saloon...and much more. She is a wonderful sea boat & home.
